Rules for the use of recommendation technologies
These Rules describe how the network of city portals DimPoisk uses recommendation technologies when displaying organizations, events, posters and other materials. The rules have been prepared taking into account the requirements of legislation on information and recommendation algorithms.
1. What is considered recommendation technologies
Recommendation technologies are algorithms that determine the order and composition of cards, lists and blocks on the site: search results, catalog by category, “popular” collections, similar organizations, promotions and events, posters.
2. How is the search results generated?
- City and language page: Shows organizations and events of the selected city.
- User request: search by title, address, category and tags.
- Category and filters that you set in the catalog.
- Paid placement statuses (VIP, Gold, Platinum) and promotion services - such cards may be displayed above the basic ones.
- Popularity and activity: number of views, clicks and ratings.
- Data freshness: recently updated cards and promotions.
- Random shift within a group of the same status, so that the output is not the same every time you enter.
3. What data is taken into account
For ranking, information from the organization’s card (name, category, city, address, placement status), parameters of your request and technical viewing statistics are used. We do not build a hidden advertising profile based on your behavior on third-party sites. If you are logged in, your favorites and recently viewed organizations may be taken into account to make it more convenient to show your account and similar cards.
4. Advertising and paid promotion
Some materials are shown on a paid basis (banners, paid statuses, increased views). This affects the place in the search results, but does not replace the description of the organization. Paid and free cards are marked with status in the organization card.
5. How to change recommendations
- Select another city or language in the site header.
- Refine your search, category and filters.
- Do not log in or clear your favorites and browsing history in your personal account if you do not want to have this data taken into account.
- If you disable cookies in your browser, some of the personalization will no longer work.
Find out more about cookies in Cookie Policy.
